Total Fencers 9
It was the first foil Stab-N-Grab after the summer break and
nine fencers showed up to get some foil fencing done. Everyone
seemed happy to be back at stabbing each other. The total number
of people who have participated in the foil event have reached
27 people. That's a wonderful thing.
Michele and Joe
Michele and Alan started off to fence for position eight on
the tableaux. Michele defeated Alan (5-1), which made the foil
fencer Michele very happy. Ava and Michele started the offical
first round with Michele again taking the victory (5-1). Tony
and Jessica fought and Tony used his sneaky pirate tactics to
get the win (5-1). Libby and Frank fought next and in an upset
Libby knocked Frank out of the competition (5-4). The last bout
was Joseph and Joe and Joe's reach allowed him to grab the
victory (5-2).
Alan and Michele
Round two began with Michele and Tony. Michele again used real
foil techniques against the epee fencer and won (5-1). Libby
found herself against Joe, it seems some days they are constant
opponents. As usual Joe grabbed the win (5-3). The final was
Michele and Joe. Michele gave it a great try and almost won but
Joe snatched the victory from her (5-4).

UNDERSTANDING THE GAME
The Stab-N-Grab has a built in handicap, for each time a person wins,
they start the next Stab-N-Grab down a point. Also if a rated fencer
joins in the game mid-season they match the highest point handicap.
