Newcomer Joe has made himself at home at Red Rock. He's the newest SNG2
winner. It only took him two weeks to take the win. Of course, he did come
into the event with no touches against him. I'm sure over the next weeks
he'll come to appreciate the challenge as the touches accumlulate. Certainly,
Frank and Filip will be able to share the challenge. Even Everett at three
touches is finding it hard to win. We are only five weeks away from the first
series finish. It will be interesting to see if we get a winner in the next
few weeks or not. And of course, I should mention that we had tons of food.

Joe and Andrew

Libby and Jessica started the tournament with Libby taking the win (5-3).
Joe and John fought and Joe just squeaked by (5-4). Joseph and Aubrey followed
with Aubrey's epee form overcoming Joseph's foil style (5-2). Michele faced
Andrew and Andrew's long reach overcame Michele's left-handedness. Austin then
faced Michelle (Ricciardo), who has been missing a long time. It was great to
see her. And Austin was able to take the victory so Michelle got to do a bit
of socializing. Frank and Jonah finished round one and Jonah easily took the
win (5-1), remember Frank is starting down four touches. Jonah only had to
hit him once to knock him out.

Joe and Andrew

The next round began with Stefany and Libby. Stefany came out aggresively,
and got several touches on Libby before the tide changed and Libby won (5-3)
Nice job Stefany! Joe and Aubrey were next. Joe used his reach to tag the
smaller Aubrey for the win (5-2). Andrew and Austin were next. It was probably
the closest battle of the day as Andrew snatched the victory (5-4). Jonah
and Everett finished the round in a close one and Jonah took out Everett (5-4).

Aubrey and Joseph

Round three began with Libby and Joe. Much like Aubrey's experience, Joe's
long arms and legs were put to good use to defeat Libby (5-3). Andrew and
Jonah followed. It was hard for some people to cheer for a favorite as the
boys are good friends and always support each other. In the end, Andrew
used his reach to knock Jonah out and won (5-3). The final ended up the two
of the tallest fencers in the room, Joe and Andrew. They have similar body
types, only Joe's is a little older than Andrew's. Today it was Joe who
dominated Andrew by fleching like crazy and taking the win (5-2). It was
a fun afternoon. Epee fencing changed into foil fencing afterwards and people
were fencing for quite some time.
