It was another fabulous Sunday at Red Rock Fencing Center as seventeen
fencers gathered to do battle. The second series seems to be getting
stronger and stronger, with more and more competitors turning our regularly.
It's a wonderful thing to have seen this event become so popular. Thanks
to Phillip Toussaint for taking these great pictures. You can see more

Frank and Jack were the first to fence with Frank taking the easy win (5-3).
Since there were seventeen Frank and Jack were sort of a pre-battle and
Frank had to start round one by fencing Scott. I'm sure he wasn't too happy
about that but he managed to pull it out to win (5-3). Taylor trounced Phillip
(5-0). Jim faced John U. and took the victory (5-3). Ava faced 'Magic Pants'
Andrew and lost (5-1). William defeated Stefany in a close one (5-4). Ryan
fought John W. to move up (5-4). Ken faced Jonah and Jonah won (5-3). Michele
took down little Patrick (5-1).

Round two started with Frank facing Taylor and winning (5-4). For someone who
just had his birthday, Frank seemed on fire to prove he still has the stuff to
win. Jim fenced Andrew next and lost to Andrews amazing reach (5-4). William
faced Ryan and tried his best but Ryan took the win (5-3). Jonah and Michele
finished off round two with Jonah taking the win (5-3).

Round three started with Frank and Andrew. Frank once again proved he wasn't
over the hill yet by winning (5-4). Ryan fought Jonah and experience won out
with a (5-2) victory. So the final is 'Birthday Boy' Frank against a much, much
younger Ryan. Today, Ryan was in no mood to give Frank a birthday win and
took the victory (5-4). Happy belated birthday Frank! (It was the 22nd).
