Nevada Champsionships
June 27 - 28, 2009

General Event Information

Red Rock Fencing Center saw two solid days of fencining over the
last weekend in June 2009. The room was filled with fencers,
the sound of clashing weapons, shouts of victory, applaush and
cheers. Because of distance and timing the event was dominated
by two southern Nevada clubs: Red Rock Fencing Center and Fencing
Academy of Nevada. Fencers of all sizes, shapes, talents, genders,
and ages showed up to do battle. This was a seniors event though,
so no junior or cadet events. Although it seemed like chaos, with
all the strips being used at various times, guests and fencers
alike ceaselessly moving around the room, the event came off with
almost no hitches.

The events included:
  • Mens Individual Epee
  • Mens Team Epee
  • Womens Individual Epee
  • Womens Team Epee
  • Mens Individual Foil
  • Mens Team Foil
  • Womens Individual Foil
  • Womens Team Foil
  • Mens Individual Sabre

The contestants were divided into four pools. The
